Buying Off Plan
Buying ‘off plan’ is considered to be the smart option for property investors and homebuyers. This is where properties are offered for sale 6 to 24 months ahead of completion at a low introductory price to stimulate sales. By the time the developer hands over the keys, your property could be worth up to 35% more than you originally bought at.
Last year leading Spanish banks Solbank, CAM and Banco Popular predicted
equity growth of 12% in 2006 this was then revised to 17% growth. Even using
the lower figure, a two year build period should add an extra 24% to your
off plan purchase price and this plus the normal price increases during
construction of the development takes the new real value up to around 35%.
All this increase in the value happens carry on you life in rainy Britain!
