Novo Carthago Beach & Golf Resort

The Novo Carthago Beach and Golf Resort is one of the few that is actually situated literally on the edge of the Mar Menor, albeit with a nature conservation area separating the resort from the beach. The Mar Menor coastline still retains its very Spanish culture and traditions which can be experienced in the towns of Los Alcazares and Santiago de la Ribera. Visitors can indulge themselves in a diverse range of shops, bars and restaurants or enjoy the numerous water sports. The nearby motorway connects this area with the great cities of Cartagena, Alicante and the regions capital Murcia ; Cities that are beautiful and historical yet keeping pace with the modern times. The current Murcia airport and the new international airport under construction at Corvera will both be 20 minutes away.
The resort will be constructed around two 18 hole golf courses each with its own unique characteristics. Designed by Robert Trent Jr. and an outstanding team of experts one course has been designed as a link facing the Mar Menor and the other is a Mediterranean oasis with lakes and deep vegetation. This is not a resort solely for golfers. There will be a 5 star hotel and spa complex, shopping areas and sports facilities when visitors and residents can take part in water sports, tennis, football and many other activities. The resort will have a network of pathways and cycle paths which will lead down through extensive garden and natural areas to the beach areas on the Mar Menor.
The first phase of the development is La Isla which as the name implies
is a virtual island with its own gated entrance. The properties will be
a mixture of apartments, town houses and semi-detached villas all built
to a high standard of finish and design with the majority having views
of the golf courses. The whole area will have landscaped gardens with
communal pools.
